The Mountain Laurel Band, which includes Joe Baker, Bonner McAllister, and Donny MacLean, was the house band for the Sheffield Contra Dance for a very long time, and we are honored to have them back every September.

Thanks to B. Docktor for allowing us to share her photo from the dance tent at Oldtone Roots Music Festival. We think it captures the joy of contra dancing beautifully! You can find out more about B. Docktor Photography at her website: www.bdocktor.com.
With calling by Eric Hollman and music by Cedar Stanistreet and Donal Sheets. Don’t miss this chance to kick up your mud-caked heels and have a ball at Dewey Hall!
This just in: Quena Crain will call our next dance on June 24th 2017. Our dancing and her calling will be accompanied by music from “Crosstrail,” made up of Eric Buddington, Tony Pisano, and Becky Hollingsworth.
And while you’re keying that in to your calendar, save the dates for our
September 30th and December 30th dances, too. CHANGE OF PLANS! Our fall dance will now take place on Saturday, October 28th, (with Cedar Stanistreet) and our winter dance will take place on Friday, December 29th, (with music by Riptide and calling by Jon Greene!)
Thanks to everyone who came out on Friday night to dance to the music of Riptide and the calling of Jon Greene! Happy new year, and remember to come out to all of our quarterly dances! Next up: Sat. March 25th, with music by Coincidance!
